Last week, I sat down with Hart Hagan, producer of “The Climate Report” podcast, to discuss my book Bright Green Lies: How the Environmental Movement Lost Its Way and What We Can Do About It, and my activism.Max Wilbert is a reader-supported publication.
So many excellent points in this conversation! I especially love the way Max talks about Thacker Pass - it's obviously a part of the planet he knows well and has a deep relationship with. The intense irony of protecting wild spaces from environmentalists is clear here. Perhaps if more were plugging in to the wild world, instead of charging stations, we'd be in a much different situation.
I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation, Karen. Hart had some excellent framing questions. I'm fully with you - we need to plug into the natural world, not the electric grid.
