That's so awesome to hear that more and more indigenous and local people stand up to this mass destruction. They are forced to - but I find it inspiring how strong they are to fight and to protect their land!
We need to completely restructure our economy to one of sustainability and human justice. There is a framework for this called Degrowth. It's a plan that could improve everyone's lives on the planet physically, mentally and spiritually. Last I saw, there were 168 mass shootings in the US so far this year. The system we live in is making the planet sick and making us sick. Great article, Max. Thank you for exposing the fact that greenwashing is going on world-wide and that lies come in many colors. The last line is a zinger. Waking people up is a challenge for me; people care about now, and not even the quality of our now. What will it take? More of what we're doing and I'm gateful for that. The question on the minds of most people I know now isn't "what are our alternatives to EV" it's' "how can we keep doing what we are without long term (or even short term) recriminations.
