Thank you both, Max and Elisabeth, for this important essay that really gets to the heart of the matter. Visioning the kind of world that we can ideally live in some day, based in Earth's natural laws and symbiotic systems, is one of the best ways to motivate ourselves to continue with paths forward and defy the spirit s of doom and futility. To engage ourselves in such reality-based, real life-giving solutions, might doom the destructive status quo human (homo colossus) systems, but it is better to do that than to doom natural life on Earth to mass extinctions.

I will only add to your vision that we must also put an end to monetary systems for trade. As long as money exists and it is possible for some people to pile up and possess disproportionately large amounts of that stuff, they will use it to exert undemocratic power and control over others (of all species). It will probably take many generations of new thinking, new experience and resistance to dispel all the old attitudes from the ages of predatory capitalism, imperialism, patriarchy, and the commodification of nature before we become a truly cooperative, symbiotic species again.
