I really appreciate the investigative journalism into “green”energy. It is consistently being revealed as the result of NIMBY attitudes. when the curtain drops, consistently we see people shrug with malaise. Why is this happening? Is it because critical infrastructure is already built and more difficult to dismantle than projects that are ideas?
If so, it is paramount that we get ahead of the fight against nuclear before infrastructure is solidified.
Big question, Frankie. I think the malaise is mostly political disempowerment which has been both deliberately fostered by corporate/government power, and has developed "naturally" as the result of ever-increasing capitalist alienation inside the imperial core.
I do think it's critical to get ahead of the fight for nuclear. It's gonna be huge in coming decades...
