i have been praying for all those taking up the love for the Earth, as i have done for many decades along with seasoned, prayer warriors in action. Will this be the year we gain strenghth and cross the finish line? the Hopi call it the great turning and we are leaving the 4 th world.....my love and blessings to all the living things, Linda in Arizona, thank you
Max. Just smh reading this. I mean, I already know, but when ya lay it out there and we count the years of Will's work and your work and the immeasurable monstrosity of governmental and corporate destruction, my heart both sinks and rises, and my mind is searching and reaching. Forever in awe and also in friendship and aloha.
That's one of the most rural (devoid of people) parts of the country. When I was a kid, me and my father went hunting on Sheldon Natl Wildlife Refuge. Its really a unique place.
It's true, and that emptiness makes it phenomenal for wildlife, for viewing dark skies, for clean air, and the type of solitude that makes it so much easier to listen to your heart. That stillness is no being broken by the heavy bulldozers of the mining company...
This man is my kind of person. Which part of Nevada is this taking place?
There is also the planned copper mine, near Superior AZ, by Rio Tinto (Aussies, they run the Borax mine in Boron CA)
This mine will remove so much earth that the ground will sink. Rio Tinto says they will "invest" in the community. But what's the good of that when the land is ruined? One of the reasons, not the main one but nonetheless, I left the Mojave desert region is there's so many mines and solar farms, that when the wind comes whipping down the Sierra Nevada foothills, it creates huge dust storms now. The worst one being the Golden Queen mining operation thats strip mining Reefer Mountain.
It really is. It's been heartbreaking to go through the process of falling deeply in love with this place, working to defend it, and then failing because of the corrupt corporate-state alliance that underlies so many of our problems... thank you for sharing your emotion.
The words 'lithium' and 'mine' immediately instill cold, stark, deep destruction. In comparison to the wealth of life on and in this land lithium mining is a poverty-stricken, soul-destroying substitute to all but a few wealthy individuals. I hope the spirit of the land provides enough strength to overcome this man-made disaster fed by Greed.

Thank you, Linda. Same to you. I hope things start to shift this year, too.
Loved Will Falks heartfelt statement
Me too, Bobbie. He's a great poet and has a big heart.

Thank you, Keala. Much love to you.

Northern Nevada, Mitchell, north of Winnemucca, just south of the Oregon state line.
Indeed, what good is investment when the water is toxic…
This is so sad 💔

Max and Will have gone more than the extra mile!
Thanks for the kind words, Peter. That means a lot to me.
Shared. 🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing, Superball!

Those words do the same thing to me, Melanie. The spirit of that place is strong, but it's under assault right now, as the bulldozers roll...
I've added a voiceover to this post, so you can now listen to it in audio form. It's also available on The Green Flame Podcast.
